Some weddings feel effortlessly timeless, and Katie and Jim’s New York City wedding was exactly that. From the iconic Park Lane Hotel overlooking Central Park to their elegant reception at the Central Park Boathouse, every part of the day reflected classic Manhattan romance with an energy that carried late into the night.
The morning began at the Park Lane Hotel on Central Park South, where Katie got ready surrounded by family and friends while sunlight poured through the windows overlooking the city. The timeless setting paired perfectly with the elegant vision for the day and set the tone for what was to come.
Guests gathered outside as Katie and Jim departed for their ceremony in a charming vintage car alongside a classic wedding trolley carrying family and friends through Manhattan. It was one of those quintessential New York moments that felt cinematic from start to finish.
Their traditional church ceremony on the Upper East Side was heartfelt and beautiful, filled with meaningful moments and surrounded by loved ones. As soon as they exited the church, the energy completely shifted into celebration mode. Guests cheered loudly as the newlyweds made their way down the steps, creating one of the most joyful wedding exits imaginable.
After the ceremony, everyone headed straight to the Central Park Boathouse where cocktail hour began lakeside while we explored Central Park for portraits. Katie and Jim took advantage of the iconic scenery at Bethesda Terrace, one of the most romantic locations in New York City for wedding photography. The architecture, soft evening light, and energy of the park created portraits that felt timeless and effortlessly elegant.
As guests enjoyed cocktails along the water, the reception space inside the Boathouse transformed for the evening celebration. Before entering the grand room, Katie surprised everyone with a hair change that perfectly matched the transition from classic wedding elegance to full-on party mode.
The reception itself was unforgettable. The dance floor stayed packed all night, the energy never slowed down, and no one wanted the celebration to end. From emotional speeches to nonstop dancing under the glow of the Boathouse, Katie and Jim’s wedding was the perfect combination of timeless New York style and an epic party atmosphere.
For couples dreaming of a classic Manhattan wedding, it’s hard to imagine a more iconic combination than the Park Lane Hotel, a traditional Upper East Side church ceremony, portraits in Central Park, and a reception at the Central Park Boathouse.
